Sri Lanka Ruggerites win one and lose one

Sri Lanka rugby team kept their chances alive for the next years Hong Kong Sevens and the Dubai Sevens when they qualified for the Plate Quarter-final at the Malaysian Sevens.

In the first outing Sri Lankan outfit beat little known Philippines 26-12 with Sajith Saranga (1) and Srinath Sooriyabandara planting 3 tries.

At the short breather Lankans led 12-5.
In the last outing of the day Asian Giants Japan thrashed Sri Lanka 31-0.

Sri Lanka will lock horns with China in today’s game.
If Sri Lanka ends within the 6th position they will get qualified for Hong Kong and Dubai Sevens.
