Visit the Monash Open Day at ANC on September 4 for an international university experience
Australia is a prosperous and developed country with a multicultural society. Monash University is Australia's largest and most internationally focused university. In addition to its six Australian campuses in and around Melbourne, Monash has campuses in Malaysia and South Africa. Monash is highly regarded for its innovative approach to research, teaching, and learning. The University is ranked among the top 50 universities in the world by the Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings 2009 (UK) and is regularly ranked among the top 5 universities in Australia.

A Monash degree is highly-respected by employers and many multinational companies actively recruit on campus. Monash is recognized internationally for producing some of the best graduates in the world as shown in the Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings - Employer Review 2009 which rank Monash graduates as number 13 in the world. Monash College is a company of Monash University and provides a pathway to Monash University. Monash College programmes in Sri Lanka are offered through ANC Education. For students after O/Ls, ANC offers the Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) which is a world recognized equivalent to A/Levels. For students after A/Ls, ANC provides the equivalent of the first year of university through the Monash College Diploma Part 2.

On completion of the Monash College programmes each individual student is assisted with the transfer process to their preferred Monash University destination. Student's entry to 1st year of the degree is guaranteed for the full range of faculties upon successful completion of MUFY and successful completion of Diploma Part 2 provides guaranteed entry into the 2nd year of Monash University, Australia in the fields of Business and Engineering.

The Monash College programmes at ANC provide an excellent opportunity for students to begin their connection with the Monash community in an environment of supported learning and development. Curriculum of Monash College is developed by specialised faculty in Melbourne. Even the exam papers are scanned and returned to Melbourne for independent assessment.

In Sri Lanka, students and parents will have the unique opportunity to see, discuss and experience Monash University Australia on September 4 at ANC between 10 am and 4 pm. On this day you can listen to Mr. Hemant Kokularupan representing the international admissions team from Monash University, Australia as well as Dr. Nuraj Rajapakse, the Academic Dean for Monash College programmes in Sri Lanka along with certain key faculty. A presentation regarding visa and university transfer processes will also be provided for all participants, along with information on financial aid. This will be an exciting chance for students and parents to discuss rewarding opportunities, including stimulating careers, exciting programmes and the wonderful range of degree programmes available for students at Monash University, Australia.

Current students will talk about how it is different from study at prestigious university and how much they enjoy their campus life in a more relaxed atmosphere at the student sky lounge. The audience will be encouraged to ask questions and enter into discussions. Student tour leaders will guide prospective students and their parents through the campus ensuring a comprehensive insight to the facilities.
For students after O/Ls and A/Ls and their parents it's a good opportunity to discuss study options with both representatives of Monash University, Australia and ANC Education while joining the staff and students of ANC for refreshments.
