Funday Times - A Poem for the week

School holidays
By Kiki Wilson (14 years), English Academy, Negombo

School holidays are a blessing,
For one as young as me,
As I have studied for over three months,
And now it seems I’ve had enough.

Study, study, study,
Test, test, test,
You must do your best,
Better than the rest,
Strong wishes from my mother,
To me and my brother.

But now we are free,
No more Maths or History,
We can dance and sing or play,
Oh, how I love these holidays.
