Study professional cookery at a New Zealand award winning Culinary Institute

NSIA is an extremely well respeceted Private Tertiary Education establishment. It has successfully prepared thousands of students for the hospitality industry both locally and internationally. Unlike other providers, North Shore International Academy is the only specialised organisation totally dedicated to the hospitaltiy industry including business diplomas and the English Language courses.

This is an essential service as it will help some of our students who have difficulties with the English Language. This is not the case with the students from Sri Lanka whom we have had the pleasure of welcoming to our academy have extremely good language competencies. This is a real bonus and it will make it a great deal easier both for the students and for us to deliver the chosen courses.

We pride ourselves as an extremely good hospitality academy and we proudly display our unprecedented success in obtaining the National Training Excellence Award for four consecutive years and we are looking forward to be succesful again at the National Culinary Fare Competition in 2010.
We are truly an international organisation as we are delighted to have attracted students from many different international locations including some 6 or 7 European countries as well as South American and from at least 20 plus Asian, Far East and South East Asian nations.

This in itself is a wonderful result and it is very helpful for our international students who are able to rub shoulders with the people from other cultures and benefit greatly from that contact. Students are able to forge lifelong relationships and business relationships which could turn into wonderful opportunities in the future.

In New Zealand the international students have an opportunity to live in what has been internationally acclaimed as a miniature world featuring a Marriott of wonderful beaches, forests, mountains, rivers, fauna and brilliant dairy proucts; meat, lamb, beef, venison, wonderful fish, shell fish, cheeses and of course New Zealand wine. It is indeed very unusual to find all these wonderful elements together in one beautiful country in the South Western Pacific.

For the cookery students to work with all these brilliant products is a real opportunity. As the academy also has had enormous success with the delivery of the City and Guilds programme, it is recommended that the students avail themselves of this opportunity as it will give them an international recognition.
We sincerely hope that the students will take the opportunity to enjoy New Zealand and participate in a huge amount of sport that is practiced in this country. Of course New Zealand is world famous for Rugby, and it is interesting to note that a Sri Lankan student I interviewed only yesterday actually played rugby. This is an exciting time for New Zealand as in 2011 the Rugby World Cup will be hosted in New Zealand. There will be many employment opportunities because the hospitality industry will be desperately short of good people.

Employment can be easily found during this time which with the right enthusiasm, commitment and attittude could lead to some exciting opportunities. With the experience we have had with the Sri Lankan students, I have no hesitation in warmly recommending the New Zealand opportunity to them and I feel sure they will be happy to come, stay, enjoy study, meet people and make friends in this often described South Pacific paradise. For enquiries to enrol you can contact our Sri Lankan representative, Mr. Upul Herath at Beverley International NZ Ltd - www.beverleyint.com

We hope to welcome you soon!
