Registration of persons is anti-Tamil, says Mano

Democratic People’s Front leader Mano Ganesan has called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa to stop the ongoing registration of persons in Colombo, saying it is aimed at Tamils and is discriminatory.
In a letter to the President, the former Member of Parliament says the registration was targeted at Tamils living in Wellawatte and other Tamil-dominated areas.

Colombo Range Deputy Inspector General H. N. D. Herath told the Sunday Times that the registration was not limited to Tamil-dominated areas, and that registration would soon be conducted islandwide.
