Honest room boy honoured

A room boy at a leading hotel in Nuwara Eliya was given an award for honesty and integrity by his superiors after he handed over a sum of more than Rs. 1 million that he had found in a guest room.

D. M. Jayasiri, the room boy, discovered US$9,700 (Rs. 1,099,020) in a pouch while cleaning the room.

It is understood that the guest collected the money and left the hotel.
