Dian enthrals Sri Lankan business women professionals with dynamic thoughts

Dian Gomes, one of Sri Lanka’s most charismatic and dynamic corporate leaders, wowed an audience of over hundred professional women at a Young Business and Professional Women Sri Lanka (YBPW) leadership seminar recently in Colombo, the YBPW said.

“Renowned as one of the finest CEOs in modern Sri Lanka, Dian is renowned for his corporate radicalism and flair. He enthralled the audience in his unique style, sharing his diverse leadership experiences from the corporate world to the sporting arena. The audience were captivated by the fascinating story of how Dian’s transformational leadership aligned the masses, starting from a rural hamlet in Pannala, creating what is today considered a global powerhouse in apparel manufacturing in MAS Holdings,” the statement said.

A key underlying message in Dian’s delivery was his leadership philosophy of maximizing the potential of people by building on their talents and empowering them to perform beyond traditional boundaries, it said.

The presentation included several inspirational stories on creating a ‘breeding ground for champions’, drawing relevance between sports and the corporate arena. Some of the success stories were remarkable, ranging from the creation of a world class Olympian Boxer from a rural youth in Anuruddha Ratnayake to developing a high octane Sri Lanka womens rugby unit from village lasses who had never seen a rugby ball before, the YBPW said.

Business and Professional Women (BPW) is a leading international network of business and professional women with over 30,000 members in over 90 countries. YBPW is the junior chapter of BPW in Sri Lanka.
