An evening of mixed melodies

An evening of music featuring the Choir of Trinity College Kandy, presented by the British Council, will be held at the British Council Hall on June 14 at 6.00pm. Trinity College Choir, which has functioned from the inception of the school, has a history of such performances through the times, and particularly in collaboration with the British Council on two previous occasions.

The Choir primarily performs on a committed schedule in the school itself, while it participates in selected events, on invitation, outside the school as well. The Choir consists of 32 boys in their ages ranging from 11 to 19.

This entertaining evening will showcase the versatility of the Trinitians when they sing music mostly of British origin. The repertoire for the evening will consist of traditional songs, light folk songs, music from films, contemporary choral music, pop and classical. The lineup for the evening includes "The Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Alleluia Chorus". Tickets are priced at Rs. 1000 and 500 and will be on sale at British Council Colombo from Monday June 7.
