The function was attended by the Chapter Extension Chairman JCI Senator Rohan Abeywickrema, a number of past Presidents, Senior Jaycees and present members. Among the past Presidents the Deputy High Commissioner to the Sri Lanka High Commission in India, Jc Palitha Ganegoda, Director Sampath Bank, National President 1997 JCI Senator Prashantha Lal De Alwis and the National President 2009 JCI Senator Bimal Liyanage were present. The evening was highly expressive of the spirit of 'Gampaha Jaycee Family', an evening of flashback of cherished memories of the past and sharing of experiences with the new generation.
Gampaha Jaycees celebrated its 30th Anniversary of service excellence in 2009. The Past Presidents of the Chapter were felicitated at the AGM held in December 2009 honouring them for their dedication and contribution to bring the Chapter to greater heights and remarkable achievements.
During 30 years of service excellence Gampaha Jaycees has won the Most Outstanding Chapter Award in 2006, 2008 and 2009 and the Most Outstanding Chapter President award in the years s1984, 1985, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Gampaha chapter has the most number of JCI Certified Trainers and has entered into international relationship agreements with Jaycees in India and the US. |
