Little serpents in his lunch?

By P Weerasekera

A man who bought a packet of rice and curry from a hotel in Kurunegala town, found to his surprise two dead baby snakes in the packet, scaring the daylights out of him.

He had immediately called a friend and shown what was in the packet. They had lost no time in trying to contact the hotel owner by mobile phone only to find the phone at the other end was not connected.

The man had later thrown the packet away and said that he would take the matter up with the hotel owner later.
