Imperial College: Nurturing the Leaders of tomorrow

Imperial College, the pioneers in CIMA education in Sri Lanka has once again stood true to their motto of Nurturing Tomorrow's Leaders by coaching high flyers in Sri Lanka in addition to rewarding students for exceptional grades achieved at the Advanced Level examinations of 2009.

Having produced 3 Sri Lankan prize winners at the November 2009 examinations, Shenali Perera with the Sri Lankan Prize for Financial Accounting & Tax Principles (P7), coached by Pravinth Rajaratnam, the most sought after lecturer for the Financial Pillar subjects. Deasy Augusta securing the Sri Lankan Prize for Risk & Control Strategy at the Strategic Level under the guidance of Usama Jiffry and 18 year old Tharindra Goonaratne was triumphant at Business Strategy, also bagging a Sri Lankan Prize.

In recognition of their achievements and exceptional results, Shenali, Deasy and Tharindra have been awarded full scholarships for their next level of CIMA studies.

With a vision of educating the youth of Sri Lanka and developing students who will be recognised as the cream of tomorrow's business achievers, Imperial College has awarded numerous students with scholarships for achieving 3 A grades at the 2009 Local Advanced Level examinations.

However, to keep in line with their vision, Imperial College goes beyond rewarding their students alone. As a socially responsible education institute, Imperial College have gone a step further by collaborating with the CIMA Sri Lanka division to conduct revision programmes for Commerce and Science stream students sitting AL examinations this August. These revision programmes conducted in main cities in Sri Lanka are conducted by leading university lecturers in Sri Lanka.

There have been many seminars already conducted having accommodated over a thousand students at each seminar from various schools in Colombo and other cities. Students benefit in terms of being exposed to high quality revision programmes as they prepare for the forthcoming exams. The icing on the cake is that these students have the opportunity of winning a full scholarship towards the tuition fees of the CIMA Certificate Level at Imperial College.

It is said that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Imperial College's recognition of high flyers, achievements, contribution to student's success, results and high pass rates, vision and dedication to provide limitless opportunities for students indicate that you stand the best chance at achieving success at Imperial College.

For students, the challenge is to seize the opportunity to make changes for the better. Wouldn't it be a great advantage to have a higher chance of success at examinations and your desired career?
