Reading Challenge

The Reading Challenge is the largest national reading promotion for young kids organised by around 85% libraries belonging to local authorities in UK. Each year it takes the form of a different game, this year it was known as 'Quest Seekers'.

British Council celebrated the achievements of 130 young reading agents between the age group of 6 to 14 years, who went the extra mile to excel in their reading and writing skills, winning awards and medals making their parents proud of them.

The "Quest Seeker" Reading Challenge award ceremony was held at Trinity College Primary Hall on February 6, 2010 at 9.00a.m.

The aim of the summer reading challenge was to get children to read six books from the library. Children were given a membership card and kept track of the books they read on a special fold-out poster, collecting some fun gifts along the way.
