Don’t miss the last night of Aliens in concert

It’s a concert not to be missed. Tonight’s the last night at the Bishop’s College auditorium when leading folk-fusion band Alien Accent presents their “One Trust Concert”.

Initially known to their loyal fans as Suresh, Husni with DK, the band transformed into Alien Accent and now in its current incarnation comprises D.K. Wijesinha and Dillain Joseph though founder members Suresh and Husni too may well make an appearance.

Their three-day live concert which ends tonight at the Bishop’s College auditorium sees them perform new compositions from their forthcoming album 'Badges & Blades". This exciting new material will feature carefully arranged oriental instrumentation and vocal harmonies in keeping with the trademark Alien Accent sound.

True to their reputation for bringing together the finest backing musicians in the country for their shows, keyboardist and arranger extraordinaire, Eshantha Peiris together with Harshan Gallage on drums, Upula Madushanka on bass, Ranil Gunawardene on guitar and Rakitha Wickramaratne on percussion will be joining them on stage. Other guests include Aruna Siriwardena, Sureka Amerasinghe, Ratnam Ratnadurai, Jananath Warakagoda, Anthony Surendra and many others.

The "One Trust Concert" is not only a rare opportunity to see Alien Accent live, but to contribute towards helping displaced and orphaned children affected by the conflict in the north, via the One Trust Fund, which will receive the proceeds from the show .

The concert is presented by Cargills Magic. The Sunday Times and Daily Mirror are the print media sponsors for the show. Tickets priced at Rs. 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 are available at the Bishop’s College auditorium.
