A local ICT conference, scheduled for next week, is set to address the "significant role" of IT as it pertains to "industry, education, infrastructure development, employment and social integration" and related areas, according to a statement by host SriLanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT). Incidentally, the event's stated theme is "ICT for National Development and Integration”.
Offering free registration for "academics and industry professionals", the conference, said to be the fifth of its kind, will be held at SLIIT's auditorium in Malabe on December 22.
Further, again according to SLIIT's statement, "a collection of research papers documenting the proceedings of [the conference] will be published which, collectively with the symposium related chain of events, is expected to trigger further research and augment progress within the domain of Information Technology". |
