Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Life of a clock
By Hajar Salam (13 years), Ilma International School

I'm prone to rotate all the time,
To show people the correct time.
They idly waste their precious time,
And simply burst out 'what a crime'.

Twenty-four hours make one day,
People use, misuse and waste that day.
And when it reaches the end of the day,
They plainly chant out 'that's the way'.

Time is precious but never returning,
So use it in ways that's fruitful and everlasting.
And remember that it'll never keep waiting,
Its movement is the battle that you must keep on fighting.
