Push up speed limit for overdrive vehicles

Most cars today have automatic gear boxes. They come with an overdrive that engages around 70 kilometres per hour.

An overdrive (OD) uses less fuel because it operates on comparatively fewer engine revolutions. But the speed limit on our roads is 72 kmph, so it is difficult to keep the OD engaged.

My suggestion is to push the speed limit up to 80 kmph, at least wherever possible.

Fellow motorists, any comments?
