New comedy in town

The latest Sinhala comedy ‘Balloth Ekka Be’, written and directed by Ravindra Ariyarathna will be staged at 3.30 p.m. and 6.45 p.m on September 29 at Elphinstone, Colombo.

The hilarious theatrical production with a star-studded cast narrates about a politician who witnesses both loss and victory at an election. While Wijeya Nandasiri plays the politician talented Gihan Fernando plays his secretary.

Others in the cast include Roshan Pilapitiya, Saman Hemarathna, Kumara Thirimadura and Luvolin Vanderwall. With a musical score of Shantha Peiris, stage and set designed by Luvolin Vanderwall, and stage management by Asoka De Zoysa and Shantha Udaya Kumara.

Make up by Saman Hemarathna, on behalf of Easl J. Lanka Computer School, Sugath Jayasinghe presents “Balloth Ekka Be” while Jude Srimal is the chief organizer.
