A new recipe from Indu & Koluu –“How to catch a man”

Indu Dharmasena’s new hilarious comedy revolves around Bertha (played by Koluu) a society lady who has invested all her money for high interest rates and is now in a fix. Not only has she invested her own money but she has taken money from others and invested that too. Her friend Alma (played by Krys Sosa) who has underworld connections being one of them is hounding her to recover her money.
Drastic times call for drastic measures...
Danu and Indu
Angela, Stefan and Sanwada

The only way to get out of this mess is to catch a rich man for Bertha’s only daughter Prasani (played by Sanwada). So with the help of their dance instructor and family friend Ricky (played by Indu) and Alma standing by, begins the hunt for a wealthy man.

From over thousand applications only a handful are shortlisted, and of the short listed few, who will be the fortunate (or unfortunate) man to get caught?
The bubbly Angela Seneviratne plays Suramiya, the over protective mother of one of the suitors, while Stefan J. Raymond plays her son Kavantissa. Danu Innasithamby and George Cooke play Kassapa and Parakarama, two other suitors who have been short listed for Prasani.

This hilarious comedy has a number of enticing dance items executed by the cast which will keep the audience in fits of laughter. The set design and furniture by Simply Wood adds a classy touch to the whole production.

The play will be staged at the Lionel Wendt Theatre on September 11, 12 & 13 at 7.30 pm. The show on the 11th is presented by the Bamunu Arachchi Foundation led by the philanthropist B. A. Mahipala, and all proceeds will be utilized towards the development of the Homagama Base Hospital. The Sri Lankan Association of Airline Representatives will present the show on the 12th in aid of their welfare projects.

The print media sponsors are Daily Mirror and the Sunday Times while the electronic media sponsors are MTV and Yes FM.
