‘Kapuwa’ comes with a new production

The new production of Dr. Ediriweera Sarachchandra comedy “Kapuwa Kapothi” which was originally made based on A.P. Gunarathna’s translation of famous Russian author Nikolai Gogol’s Comedy “Marriage” will be staged at Elphinstone theatre, Colombo.

Two shows of this humorous play will be shown at 3.30 and 6.45 pm on August 15 and it is played by Nihal Fernando, Deepani Silva, Sarath Kulanga, Ariyaratne Kaluarachchi, Wasantha Vittachchi, Lalith Rajapakse, Kumudu Prashanthi, Kumari Manike Aththnayake, Anusha Dissanayake, Ravindra Ariyaratne and Upamali Ranathunga.

Lionel Bentherage did the stage decor and costumes creation by Lalitha Sarachchandra while lighting is by Upali Weerasinghe. Stage management by Dharapala Bogoda and Ravindra Ariyaratne and the new production is by Lalitha Sarachchandra. The show was organized by Jude Srimal.
