Top business persons get special airport lounge

The Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka Ltd., (AASL) last week opened the ‘Silk Route’ Lounge for smooth and hassle-free entry for Commercially Important Passengers (CIPs) at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

“CIPs is an exclusive pathway for these travellers to relax in luxury and comfort and will be provided with an exclusive and expedited immigration and customs process. The ‘Silk Route’ is specially designed so that the ambience is conducive not only for passengers enjoying a short break in journey, but also for those requiring through and continuous connectivity,” Chairman of AASL, Prasanna Wickramasuriya said.

Chief Guest at the function, Governor of the Central Bank, Ajith Nivard Cabraal said that there are new opportunities to be used as the country is opening new doors for travel, businesses, ICT, education, stock market, foreign exchange and for many more.

“At this point we should be able to gain the maximum of these facilities provided. This special lounge for the CIPs is now available and we hope that they will make use of it," he added.
