Australian College of Business and Technology (ACBT) a pioneer in academic excellence in Sri Lanka offers the University Foundation Program (UFP) which serves as a gateway to international higher education.

The UFP which is equivalent to A/L's is a well focused higher education program that provides the foundation for students to follow higher education prospects here and aboard. The UFP contains vital components such as English, Commerce, Computing and other necessary skills that are essential for a student to excel in one's chosen field of higher education.

Elaborating more on the University Foundation Programme offered by ACBT, Marketing Manager for ACBT Sudash Liyanage said "the UFP is a comprehensive and relevant program that incorporates essential elements that provide a sound foundation for a student who wishes to continue with their chosen field of higher education after he or she has successfully completed O/L's.

A student need not necessarily sit for A/L's but they can instead enroll themselves with the UFP and pursue their dreams of obtaining a recognized educational qualification. It's not time consuming like the traditional method and the cost is comparatively less while the student reaps the maximum benefits once the program is completed. There is no undue pressure for the students to succeed, however they have to work hard with a sense of dedication to excel in the program."

Mr.Liyanage further added that the UFP is one of the ACBT program accepted by the Australian High Commission to award student visas thus presenting an ideal opportunity for those looking to migrate to Australia for higher education prospects.

The University Foundation Program which covers the disciplines of Business, Science and Information Technology comprises of 8 units that can be followed on a part time or full time basis. The course takes approximately 8 to 12 months to complete.

Upon completion of the UFP a student can choose to continue their higher education by enrolling themselves in one of the ACBT Diploma courses offered in association with the Edith Cowan University or enter the year 1 university degree programmes in Australia or UK.
