Experiences during our childhood play a particularly large role in the shaping of our basic self-esteem. When we were growing up, our successes (and failures) and how we were treated by the members of our immediate family, by our teachers, coaches, religious authorities, and by our peers, all contributed to the creation of our basic self-esteem.

 
Promoting access to a prestigious British Degree commencing in September 2009

Staffordshire University, UK recently announced its plan to award international scholarships to seven deserving Sri Lankan students. These specially designed international scholarships will help Sri Lankan students who are aspiring to do a British degree to realize their dreams. Each scholarship with a value of £3000 is to be deducted from the tuition fee of the chosen degree programme. Scholarships would be offered to any undergraduate or postgraduate student who wish to join the September 2009 intake.
