Battaramulla Rotary Club launches projects for people of Patapiligama

The Rotary Club of Battaramulla has undertaken "Awakening of Patipiligama"- a small underprivileged village off Kurunagala, under a Rotary matching grant, funded by six partner clubs in USA. The Rotary Club of Battaramulla has been making a difference in these villagers' lives by implementing various projects for irrigation, electricity, provision of toilets, helping students etc over the past two years.

January 4 was a very special day for the villagers of Patapiligama when Rotary District Governor Nalin Fernando ceremoniously declared open the Matching Grant Projects and handed them over to the people of Patapiligama. The President of the club, members and their families participated at this ceremony.
