Padmini a great speaker

Padmini Samarasinghe an Accountant by Profession - The former Finance Director
of the Browns Group of Companies proved beyond doubt that Accountants are not just
Number Crunches and Management Guru's alone - but they are great Speakers!
Padmini is an expert on International Professional Skills and is a much sought after trainer
on Communication and Management Skills as well as Speech-craft.

Padmini joined the Toastmasters movement in 2004 and took to Toastmasters
very seriously at the end of 2005. In January 2006 She Chartered the CIMA Toastmasters Club and held the post of the President of that Club in 2006/2007.

She was the Area Governor of Area 4 in 2007/2008 looking after not only the CIMA
Toastmasters Club but 3 other Clubs - The Institute of Chartered Accountants Toastmasters Club ( ICASL), The Millennium Toastmasters Club and the Lyceum Toastmasters Club. Padmini is also a Trained Judge and much sought after Trainer and Director of Master Courses.
Currently she is the Asst Divisional Governor Education and Training of Division A - District 82 Toastmasters International.

Padmini spoke on "Equal Rights to All " as the 40th Speech at a Toastmasters Meeting in front of a large number of Toastmasters - not only from CIMA but also from the Chartered Institute , HNBL, Millennium, Colombo Toastmasters Club and SLIM Toastmasters Clubs. Her ability to bring History to Life through a story of the Life and focus of Abraham Lincoln the 16th President of the United States of America - whom she referred to as the 'Greatest.

Leader of All time', was well received by those present. She was greeted as she finished with a standing ovation by the Toastmaster in attendance Mahesh Jayasinghe CC .CL and once again to another standing ovation after the evaluation by Darshana Welikala ATM.CL .

The Evaluator was heard to comment that this was one of the best speeches he had heard for a long time -" Her Voice and gestures conveyed the emotion of the message exceptionally well.

She had researched the subject matter and used sufficient material to bring forth the characteristics of a Great Leader- his pragmatic nature and unwavering political purpose - 'Equal Rights to All". The vivid and descriptive way in which she used words, articulating them to perfection and delivering same with the correct pauses and vocal variety was a treat to ones ears.

She really took us through an emotional journey through the life and tales of the Great Leader, Abraham Lincoln." Truly - GOLD!
