‘Satya’ comes out with a bolder statement

Indian designer Satya Paul’s latest pret-line ‘Satya’ was launched at Aashkii in the first week of December 2008. Jaishree Parathalingam Jayesingha, Managing Director of Aashkii says ‘Satya’ by Satya Paul is the third line to be offered as an extension of the Satya Paul label. The new label designed by Puneet Nanda reflects the original Satya Paul colours, prints and designs, comfortably priced.

The Lineara Collection from Satya displayed at Aashkii this December includes a variety of saris that showcase bold graphic statements. The geometrical designs and asymmetrical shapes are embroidered on crepes and georgettes and experimental weaves. Flamboyant use of colour in shades of blues, greens, browns, burgundy and vibrant orange on different canvases of black and white and red, make the collection strikingly different.

Established in 1985, Satya Paul is now known globally for its excellence in design. The look is a strong interplay of patterns and colour that the New York Times has hailed as works of Kinetic Art.
