LP gas in affordable amounts

By Anselm Gunasekera, Wattala

We understand that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) will be entering the LPG market very soon.

If LPG is made available at our petrol sheds or filling stations, as it is in many European and Middle East countries, both the customer and the CPC will benefit.

The CPC will be free of the trouble and expense of maintaining filling plants, keeping track of gas cylinders, and so on, and customers will benefit by being able to buy LPG in quantities they can afford. Not everyone can afford to pay Rs. 2,000 for LPG in one go.
