Tata seeking new opportunities in Sri Lanka

Tata Communications of India is planning to create a new world of communications in the Sri Lankan market by leveraging its global capabilities.

Addressing a press conference convened to announce the re-naming of VSNL Lanka Limited, part of the $29 billion Tata group, as Tata Communications Lanka Limited, VSNL Managing Director and Group CEO TATA Communications N.Srinath said that his company is doing business with emerging markets like Sri Lanka to compete with global giants in the developed markets.

In Sri Lanka, Tata Communications Lanka Limited offers wholesale, enterprise and retail solutions, which include International Voice, International IP bandwidth for Internet Service Providers, International Private Lease Circuit, MPLS based global VPN services, Corporate voice and their Global Calling Card.
