| In order to celebrate World Book Day, the children's section of the British Council, Colombo, organized a painting session for its library members between 8 and 15 years, on Saturday, March 8, 2008. Around 100 children painted their favourite book characters and animals on fabric panels. These colourful paintings were later hung as banners on pillars within the library premises giving visitors and others members an opportunity to see at first hand the talent and ability of the children. |
