Raigam recognizes talent in teledramas
In its fourth successive tele award ceremony, Raigam Tele Award- 2007, the Kingdom of Raigam, a truly national company is to acclaim, appreciate and felicitate the talents of teldrama artistes and contribute to create a better teledrama industry. Organized by a heart winning Sri Lankan Company, the Kingdom of Raigam, this grand ceremony for both actors and technicians in the miniscreen will be staged on May 9, 2008 at 7.00 p.m. at the BMICH Colombo.
 
Controversial ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ in Colombo
Controversy ridden Indian film about the fabled romance of a Moghul emperor, 'Jodhaa Akbar' which was subjected to non-release in certain Indian states will be released at the Liberty Cinema simultaneous to the world release on February 29. Directed by Oscar nominated 'Lagaan' director, Ashutosh Gowariker, the film was accused of distorting Indian history.
