Dilshan to captain warm up games

Australian tour discard T.M. Dilshan has been given the chance to win back his national cap. The middle order batsman who enjoyed a very successful tour of Zimbabwe with the Sri Lanka ‘A’ team and then followed it up with a ‘big’ hundred for Bloomfield in their Premier League Limited Overs opener has been named to lead the Lankan teams that would play in England in their two warm up matches.

Besides Dilshan left arm medium pacer Chanaka Welagedera who cur short his Australian tour with an injury, has been included in one of the warm up games. The two matches will be played at the CCC and NCC grounds starting November 20 and 25th.
