Business is very positive

A new travel advisory by the British Foreign Office, advising its nationals against visiting Yala National Park has no impact on current destination promotion at the World Travel Market in London, said Tourism Bureau Chief Renton De Alwis.

“The business is very positive and the feedback from travel agents and British tour operators is encouraging. This travel advisory is not strong enough to hamper the current promotional activities in Britain and all over Europe,” Mr. de Alwis said.

“I believe this is just a minor travel advisory and the outcome of this will be very minimal if Sri Lanka is marketed as a destination as a whole,” he added
