Trio nabbed with 3 kgs. of heroin

Three Sri Lankans, including a woman, found to be carrying nearly 3 kilos of heroin were arrested on Friday afternoon at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) said.

The three suspects from Grandpas, Biyagama and Tangalle were arrested on their return from Trivandrum, India. The PNB operatives discovered 2.10 kilos of heroin in one of the bags carried by the suspects, while another bag contained nearly 900 grams of heroin, totalling a street value of Rs. 1.2 million.
