Hillwood swimmers at their best

Hillwood College – Kandy won the pentathlon swimming championship (girls) for the first time at the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union pentathlon swimming championship held at the Sugathadasa Stadium swimming complex..

Hillwood won the championship with 38 points, whilst Mahamaya College was placed 2nd with 24 points and Musaeus College was placed 3rd with 23 points.

The Under 10 girls did well once again for Hillwood by winning 4 places within the first five. Rukshali Hapugoda won the championship (6.50.69) and placed 1st in the individual medley(3.33.35), Hiruni de Zoysa won the runners up (6.50.76) and placed first in the free style ( 40.53), Sandumini Ettipola placed 4th (6.58.53)& 1st in the butterfly stroke ( 44.63) and Nisali Dissanayake placed 5th (7.01.80) & 1st in the breast stroke (52.50).

Harshanee Dissanayake placed 3rd (8.42.98) in under 14. Sachinthanee Dissanayake placed 4th (8.29.94) & Shalini Rajakaruna placed 1st ( 1.27.02) in the breast stroke in under 16 yrs.
