Workshop on world class manufacturing trends

The European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (ECCSL) is organising a one-day workshop titled “World class manufacturing trends – Added value action strategies” on February 21 at the Trans Asia Hotel. The course is designed to enable delegates to understand the concepts of the added value actions strategy and obtain an overview of the key methods for the continuous improvement process that affects quality and productivity, and how to progressively increase the value time on products flowing through the factory and the time of people and machines.

The ECCSL said the programme refers to the many world-class practices adopted by Toyota and how such practices can be adopted by local companies in any manufacturing industry. The course will include introduction to world class manufacturing trends; lean manufacturing, cost reduction & waste elimination, cellular manufacturing, automatic maintenance, value stream mapping, mistake proofing, continuous improvement, set-up reduction, 5S and lessons from Toyota way.
