Ajit, new chairman for JAAF

The Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) at the AGM held on December 13 appointed Ajith Dias as the Chairman of the JAAF in succession to Ashroff Omar, who was the Chairman for the past three years.

Dias is a Director of Brandix and was the former Chairman of the Free Trade Zone Manufacturers Association (FTZMA), a member of the Textile Quota Board and a member of the National Labour Advisory Council (NLAC). He is a Chartered Textile Technologist & a Fellow of the Textile Institute of UK.

JAAF also appointed A. Sukumaran, Director, Star Garments as the Deputy Chairman. He is the past Chairman of the Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters Association (SLAEA).
