YATV over stepping its limits?

S.T. Deraniyagala of Maharagama writes...

In its talk shows the participants, including the notorious group known as 'Tamils in Sinhala skins', strain every muscle an sinew to promote the Tamil Terrorists, while demanding sacrifice of the land belonging to the Sinhalese for over thousands of years to the Tamils. They now comprise hardly around 9% of our population.

YATV Comperes are no better. Recently one objected strongly to the government's correct definition of a child LTTE soldier. YA TV implies, when confronting the killer gang, our soldiers should say, 'They are children, don't shoot, just bare your breast and let them do the shooting' You can imagine just how much these men and women are paid by you-know-who and who, to put over such crap.

They overtly and covertly condemn the government and security forces, taking care not to quite overstep the bounds, lest they be banned, which would have been their fate long ago in any self-respecting country. Horrific scenes of the suffering of the aggressor, the Tamil, with hardly any of the victim Sinhalese are shown. They pretend they do not know who started it. The dragging of a Tamil corpse through the Colombo streets, with that of the Sinhalese killed at the same time kept hidden at home, is a case in point. We hear the widow is now furious at the spectacle, into which she was trapped by our Anti-War Front, bless them. It appears the newspapers; TV and radio are vying to get the first prize for breaking up Sri Lanka into little bits to feed to the Tamil terrorists. The attitude of the Sinhala Buddhist is simple, "Let the dogs bark, our motherland moves on"
