Curry Leaves’ new year bash

Come the night of December 31st, the Sports Pub, Piano Bar and the Happenings Karaoke Lounge at the Curry leaves Restaurant in Wellawatta will be a place full of fun and excitement for all those of you who want to usher in 2007 in a memorable manner.

This night spot has become a popular hangout for many in Colombo in the short span of six months its being in operation, thanks mainly to the hard and innovative work by it's Manger Tanzil Niyaz who is fondly known by many as "Sana."

His vast experience from his many years at two five start hotels in the city have helped in making happenings a very "happening" place indeed patronised by many of his clientele from his days at the Hilton and Galadari.

The 31st dinner dance tickets are priced at Rs1600 and entrance will be free for ladies. This will include a buffet dinner at the Curry Leaves restaurant or a local hard liquor bottle on the table with music provided by outburst DJs who will play the latest songs.

In addition to the 31st dinner dance, Happenings which has been conducting the Karaoke singing completion from its inception will see its culmination on January 5th when the grand finals will be held. The winner of this will walk away with a return air ticket to Singapore, according to Tanzil.

The Ladies Night which has also become a popular feature at Happenings will be held on December 29th where entrance is free and the ladies are entitled to a free cocktail as well.
