Don Carolis’ new STORE of INSPIRED LIVING

H. Don Carolis & Sons Ltd, pioneers of Sri Lanka’s furniture industry with nearly 150 years of experience, introduced a novel concept to the retail furniture industry, through the launch of its STORE of INSPIRED LIVING this week at its Vauxhall Street branch.

This spacious store, which covers 35,000 square feet in floor area and has over 20,000 items for display, sports solid wood furniture to creative and yet practical lifestyle furniture, manufactured using wrought iron, processed timber, cane, stainless steel, melamine and glass. The store also has a wide array of fabrics and accessories like rugs, upholstering and lamps, that can be matched with the purchased furniture, making it a convenient one-stop shop for customers, Chairman of H. Don Carolis & Sons Ltd. Rajiv Hewavitarane told The Sunday Times FT. “The store was launched with the aim of providing our customers the entire interior solution under one roof. We also provide design concepts, colour combination tips and other related advice to our clientele to suit their budgets and tastes through consultations with a professional team of designers. It is important to note that this service is offered free of charge.”

CHOICES, a modern range of high quality furniture at very affordable rates which was designed for young adult and newly wed market segment, will also be on display at the new store.

Loyal customers of the company for generations include numerous household, state and corporate sector organizations which include the Parliament, the President’s Office, Sri Lanka Telecom, almost all the banks and many five star hotels in the country. “If not for the people of Sri Lanka, we would not have come such a long way,” said Hewavitarane.
