Lankika's celebration on Derana

The mega show celebrating popular female singer Lankika Perera's contribution to the music scene will be telecast on Derana TV on December 3 and 10 at 9.30 pm.

The show featuring Lankika was held last September at Methodist College, Colombo to celebrate Lankika's 35-year long journey on the music track. She performed backed by 'Golden Chimes', the band for which she rendered her voice and she was joined by her colleagues Annesley Malewana, Anil Barathi, Keerthi Pasquel, Chryshantha Gunawardena, Sureshni Wanigasuriya, Rajiv Sebastian, Vishaka Samarawickrema. The show, 'Celebration 35 years for Laankeeka' presented by Rawatawatte Wesley Guild was organised for a worthy cause of supporting the Methodist Church Building project.

"I came across this when I was thinking about a way to repay for the gift of voice I received from above. And I was very happy to be fully involved in the project," said Lankika a devoted Christian. The show was compered by Bevil Palihawadana and the dancing sequences were by 'Soul Heat'.
