Arshad overall champion

Arshad Ahamed playing steady golf won the ‘A” Division Monthly Medal December 2006 with a nett score of 66 over Sanjay Wettimuny under 18 – 68 at the RCGC at the Model Farm greens yesterday.

Sanjay, son of cricketer Sunil Wettimuny, stole the limelight under gloomy conditions.

Radesh Daluwatte, another promising youngster, won the ‘B’ Division 73 nett with a better back nine. Radesh is the son of Rohan Daluwatte, a former Sri Lanka Army Commander.

The December Monthly Medal is sponsored by Debug Computers Peripherals.

Sanjay was playing on a handicap 5, is a golfer for the future.
