‘Chandimal and the 2nd Connection in Concert’

An all calypso show 'Chandimal and the 2nd Connection in Concert' will come alive at the BMICH on October 21.

Over 35 Sri Lankan golden oldies are billed to sing by original artistes at this show.

Keerthi Pasqual, Saman de Silva, Sohan and Yasmin, Christopher Paul, Darmaratne Brothers, Susil Fernando, Nimal Jayamanne, Joe. B. Perera will be featured at this Calypso show.

Anushan Perera with his Latin style performances and Chandana Wickramasinghe Dance Troupe along with La Trio Girls will be in action with their respective dance sequences.

The compere of the show will be Faizal Bongso.

'Most of the songs selected for the show are old hits. My fans would love to listen to evergreens and even the artistes usually don't sing them on stage' Chandimal said.

'Chandimal & the Second Connection in Concert' is organized by the Old Boys Union of Holy Cross College, Kalutara in aid of College's development fund.

Chandimal, who got few albums to his credit, will be releasing his latest nonstop CD also on the day of the show.

'I am releasing this CD after a laps of five years' he said.

During the past years he has been working on with this calypso nonstop. This is not a not a dance CD.

'I always love calypso and they are good for relaxation' he added.
