Inter-Firm Badminton from November 21 - 26

Mercantile Badminton Association will be conducting their annual ‘Dulux’ Inter-Firm Badminton Team Championship from 21st to 26th November 2006 at S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia Indoor Sports Complex.

Entries have been released to all Affiliate members of the MBA and if any member requires entry forms and further details, could obtain same by sending an e-mail to the following e-mail ID: christo@unitrac.net

The championship will be conducted in divisions on a quarter league, semi league or full league basis depending on number of entries received. Divisions will be A, B, C, D, E,,F for Men’s and A, B, C for Women’s. There will also be a veteran’s event for men and women. Veteran’s team should consist of players over 40 years of age for men’s category and over 35 years of age for Women’s category.

A tie will consist of the following matches and be determined as follows:

Men’s category – 3 Singles and 2 Doubles (best of 5 matches), Women’s category – 2 Singles and 1 Doubles (best of 3 matches), Veteran’s category – 2 Singles and 1 Doubles (best of 3 matches).

Entries will be closed with the Tournament Secretary, Mercantile Badminton Association, Jayalath Building, No. 65/1, 2nd Floor, Nawala Road, Nugegoda on 1st November 2006.
