A planter goes wild

Anura Benaragama, winner of the Wild and Scenic Places Category of the contest, was a planter who took to photography full time a year ago.

His passion for wildlife began during his schooldays when he used to ‘sneak into Udawattekelle’ which was adjacent to his school, Trinity College Kandy.

Having entered the competition for the first time, winning the first place for the Wild and Scenic Places Category is a remarkable achievement, he says.

His area of interest is solely animals and birds.
