Bookings on SriLankan Airlines even four hrs before departure

SriLankan Airlines will allow passengers to book flights through its website at www.srilankan.aero, up to four hours before departure, the airline said last week.

The new initiative extends the time available for passengers to book their travel online with SriLankan Airlines, for up to two hundred and forty minutes (four hours) before each scheduled take off. Allowing passengers to book their flights at the ‘eleventh hour’, is a strategic push by the airline to promote quick and convenient services, accessible from the comfort of their homes, offices or on the go from any Internet connected browser. Passengers can also pay online, receive immediate confirmation of their booking and a printable electronic ticket, which will be accepted at the airport check in counters.

SriLankan Airlines E-Commerce Manager, Kapila Bandara said, “The Internet has become a great tool to reach out to our customers and we are keen to extend and redefine our legendary warm and friendly service through the Internet.”

Bandara added, “With more passengers ‘surfing the net’ for their air tickets, we have continued to establish our presence on the world wide web and offer a comprehensive range of products and services to cater to the needs of the discerning traveller.”
