C.C.C. School of cricket celebrates 8 years

CCC School of Cricket founded by veteran cricket coach Nelson Mendis, will be celebrating the school's 8th anniversary with the annual two day Inter - House 6-a-side cricket tournament which commenced yesterday and will wind up today at CCC Grounds, Maitland Crescent.

C.C.C. Schools' U-12 and U-13 teams excelled at the annual All India 'Pepsi' Cup Tournament held in India in May this year, where the U-12 team won the Championship for the first time, while the U-I3 team came up to the Semi-Final.

This tournament has grown from strength to strength, has helped the junior cricketers to develop their strengths by adding more experience and confidence to their ability. This year, too, the Tournament is scheduled from 18th - 30th December.

Six -a- side Tournament will comprise of matches in the age groups of U -11, U-12, U-13, U-15, and U-17 among the four Houses - Bradman, Sobers, Tendulkar and Jayasuriya.
