No warrant for Bishop

Rev. D.S.Thiagarajah, the Bishop of the Jaffna Diocese of the Church of South India whose appointment has been challenged was summoned to the Mount Lavinia District Court and not issued a warrant as mentioned in The Sunday Times last week. Rev.Thiagarajah had been told to appear in court in connection with a petition filed seeking an interim injunction preventing the new Bishop functioning until the case is completed. However the Bishop had sent a representative to courts. The order on the case is due to be delivered tormorrow. The Sunday Times regrets the error.
