Anchor’s first dairy take-away outlet

Fonterra Brands Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Fonterra Co-operative Group headquartered in New Zealand, recently opened its first retail outlet in Colombo, “Anchor Dairy Land”.

The new outlet.

The company said it hopes to tap into the growing quick-service dining phenomenon in the city. Located at Crescat Boulevard, Anchor Dairy Land will serve take-away dairy food and beverage items, made using products from its popular Anchor and Newdale brands. Anchor Dairy Land is all about converting Fonterra’s quality dairy ingredients into delicious and nutritious ready to eat dairy desserts, snacks and ready to drink dairy beverages. For example Anchor cream cheese has been converted to Blueberry cheese cake and Tiramisu. Newdale curd has been converted to mouth watering Fruit lassi, etc,. “This is an exciting new venture for Fonterra Foodservice, and we are pleased that Sri Lanka has become the first country in Fonterra to launch such novel Foodservice concept like Anchor Dairy Land,” said Sanjeeva Ariyawansa, Foodservice Director Fonterra Brands, Sri Lanka.

Fonterra’s new Dairy Land at the Crescat Food Court will also promote the government’s initiative of popularising local fresh milk consumption, with products such as Newdale vanilla and chocolate flavoured milk which is produced sourcing milk from Sri Lanka’s dairy farmers, said Chetiya Sri-Nammuni Fonterrra’a Corporate Affairs Director.
