AGM of St. Aloysius College, Galle

The annual general meeting of St. Aloysius College, Galle Old Boys' Association (Colombo Branch) will be held on September 17 at Hotel Sapphire, Wellawatte from 10 a.m. onwards. Registration is at 9.30 a.m. while the meeting will start at 10 a.m.

The OBA (Colombo Branch) inaugurated in 1935 has a record of many firsts such as the felicitation of all old and present teachers annually.

St. Aloysius College founded in Galle by Jesuit priests, presently has 3,500 students. The college is supported by the OBA (Colombo Branch)

"Ahasin Wetunu Minissu" for worthy cause

The Kadawatha Baptist Church and the Kadawatha Roman Catholic Church are jointly sponsoring the staging of two special shows of the new production of the award winning stage drama "Ahasin Wetunu Minissu" by R.R. Samarakoon today, Sunday, September 10 at 3.30 p.m and 6.p.m. at the K.C.P. Auditorium, Kadawatha.

These shows are being held to raise funds for the construction of houses for two needy families.

The cast includes Ramya Wanigasekera, Geetha Kanthi Jayakodi, Thilak Kumara Rathnayaka, Wickrama Senevirathana and Ravindra Ariyarathna.

Group of '80 - Zahira College AGM - 2006

The Group of '80 of Zahira College will hold its 12th Annual General Meeting at the Galadari Hotel on Saturday, September 16, at 7 p.m.
All members are invited to attend.

Mabola Malays' Ramazan Pola

The Women's Affairs Committee of Mabole Malay Association (Persatuan Melayu Mabole) will hold its annual Ramazan Pola on Sunday, September 17 from 3 p.m. onwards at the Wattala Town Hall.

In preparation for Ramazan, there will be many items for sale at competitive prices. Trade stalls will sell foodstuffs, clothing, household linen, plants, etc. For the young 'uns and the young at heart, there will be lucky dips, children's events, musical entertainment, prizes and surprises.

Mahinda Family Day at Dodanduwa

The annual Mahinda Family Day organized by the Mahinda Club, the old boys' organization of Mahinda College, Galle will be held on Sunday, September 17, at Dream Village Hotel, Dodanduwa. All old Mahindians are invited to participate.
