'Madol Doowa' to celebrate children's year Dr. Lester James Peries's acclaimed film 'Madol Doowa' will be telecast on Rupavahini channel on September 8, Friday at 9.35 pm. to mark Children’s Year 2006. The screening of the film which was based on an acclaimed children's novel by Martin Wickremasinghe which carries the same title was in line with the special film show belt arranged by Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) to telecast childrens films once a month. This was to mark the Children's year-2006. 'Madol Doowa' introduced Ajith Jinadasa to the screen. Joe Abeywickrema Nandana Hettiarachchi, Padmasena Athukorale, Roy Keerthilal, David, Dharmakeerthi, Somalatha Subasinghe, Trilicia Gunawardena, Dhamma Jagoda and Upali Attanayake star in the stellar cast. Premalal Danwatte directed music and melodies for the ever popular background songs complied by W. D. Amaradewa. The telecast of the film 'Madol Doowa' is sponsored by People's Bank. |
