JVP to rally the people

The JVP will hold a special convention in Colombo on Wednesday to discuss the current political situation, a party spokesman said yesterday.

The theme of the convention at the Town Hall grounds at 3.00 pm would be ‘Rallying people’s power to defeat local and foreign forces opposed to our mother land’.

JVP leader Somawansa Amarasinghe will preside and around ten thousand are expected to participate.
